Privacy and cookies

The short version

You can browse route and country pages without creating an account or giving BookShuttles your name. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage. If you submit a route suggestion, we use the information you provide to review and reply to that request. Bookings take place on Viator, not on BookShuttles.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure page views and interactions such as scrolling and outbound-link clicks. Google may set or read analytics cookies and process technical information about your browser, device and visit. We use a dedicated BookShuttles property with measurement ID G-9XCW5515QC. We do not use the analytics property to identify you by name, and we must not send personally identifiable information to it.

Information you choose to send

The route-suggestion form asks for your name, email address, whether you are a traveller or provider, and the details you enter. We use that information to evaluate the suggestion, respond when appropriate and protect the form from abuse. The submission is delivered by email; do not include passport details, payment-card information or other sensitive data.

Third-party services

• Viator: route pages may load listings or send you to Viator. Viator handles checkout, payment, booking support and the information you provide there under its own privacy terms. See our affiliate disclosure.
• hCaptcha: the route-suggestion form uses hCaptcha to distinguish people from automated submissions. hCaptcha processes the information needed to perform that check under its own privacy policy.
• Vercel and Cloudinary: Vercel hosts the site and Cloudinary supplies some images. Their systems may receive ordinary request information, such as an IP address, browser details and the requested URL, to deliver and secure the service.

Sharing and retention

We do not sell personal information. Information is shared only with service providers needed to operate the site, measure usage, prevent abuse or process a service you choose to use. Route-suggestion messages are kept only as long as reasonably needed to handle the request, maintain records and protect the site. Third-party services apply their own retention periods.

You can disable BookShuttles analytics above, block cookies in your browser or use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. To ask about information you submitted, request correction or deletion, or raise a privacy concern, use our contact and corrections page and identify the relevant submission.
